Forest School Level 1- intro
Level 1 provides an introduction to the Forest School ethos and principles, and is a good starting point for those that are new to this concept of outdoor learning.
This is a 2-day training course (3 credits).

Forest school level 2- assistant
This level of training is if you want to assist at Forest School. Students will need to assist on 3 sessions of Forest School run by a qualified Level 3 FS Leader and write up their observations to gain the qualification.
This is a good training level to choose if you want to gain some experience at Forest School first, before embarking on the full Level 3 FS Leader course.
Once you have gained this Level 2 qualification you can choose to top-up to Level 3.
This is a 4-day training course (6 credits).

Forest school level 3- leader
This is the nationally recognised level of training required if you want to lead at Forest School .
This will prepare you to set up your own Forest School provision, planning, delivering and monitoring all aspects of a Forest School Programme.
There are two assessments (Practical Skills Assessment and Delivery Assessment) to be completed and students will have to run a 6-week Forest School Programme with a group of children in an outdoor setting.
Students on this level of training will need to ensure they have a 2-day Outdoor First Aid course and/or a Paediatric First Aid qualification before they start their 6-week FS Programme.
This is a 10 day face to face training course, including 2 assessments over the course of a year, with added online support days in between. (18 credits).
