Wild Tribes - Book your place!livepages::jquery();?>
Experience a touch of the wild and get reconnected with nature on the last Sunday of each month at Hengistbury Head's new discovery den!
These sessions are very much catered for families that like to spend time outdoors, but are looking for ways in which to further connect your tribe to nature. As well as playing wild, we'll be exploring this amazingly wildlife-rich nature reserve, looking at it's natural history, taking part in citizen science research, using tools and natures treasures to craft keepsakes, and on occassions a camp fire.
As always the undertone of these sessions have wildlife conservation and the health benefits to us that come with spending time in nature at its heart. This year however we will be considering ways in which we can collectively contribute to the Nature Recovery Network (a major commitment in the government’s 25 Year Environment Plan). The 3 core areas of this policy are: biodiversity loss, climate change and wellbeing.
Ideal for families with children aged 5-16yrs old.
Prices are £7.50 per child (adults go free!).
Children must be accompanied by at least 1 adult. Although the age range stipulated is reccommended, as always younger and older siblings are welcome, and babes in arms go free.
Teas/coffees/hot chocs are provided.
Meet at the discovery den (what3words flag.gosh.degree). Half of the Solent Meads car park is free to park. From here it takes approximately 10 minutes to walk down the path to the discovery den. The path is bike, buggy and wheelchair friendly, as is the main building and immediate area at the discovery den.
Spaces will be limited to ensure space and free movement for everyone! So please book in advance, and if you can't make it then please let me know so the space can be opened up to other families.
See you you in the wilds! ✌🏻
